Lala speaks the craft, not a script. Questions were welcome. Better than wandering the street hoping a workshop is open.
Clay of Absheron
Lala opens the studio. Local forms, ornament, contemporary Azerbaijani design. You make one small piece. Not a children’s class. Lunch in the courtyard, then the beach if you want it.

Clear how long we would stay and what we would actually do. Copper, silk, or clay — the photos match. I left with something small I made.
An hour at the bench, not a souvenir shop with a demo in the corner. Lala let us try the tool without rushing. Zagulba smells like the work.
English was enough, Azerbaijani better. Either way you understand the steps. Hands get dirty. That is the point.
We booked this to break up a long stay. It did. No hard sell at the end. Lala was still working when we left.
Small group. You stand close enough to see the hammer, the dye, the kiln. Clay of Absheron is the reason to come, not a gift-shop add-on.
