Safety and policies

Avoiding cancellations

Close nights you cannot host. Do not accept a stay you will undo. Guest cancellations follow the listing terms. Host cancellations are ours to unwind.

How AbsoluteCover for hosts works

Verification, screening, $3M USD damage protection, $1M USD liability, experiences liability, and a 24-hour safety line. Always included, always free for the host.

How Absolute Stays protects hosts

Every live listing includes AbsoluteCover: guest verification, reservation screening, damage protection, liability and a 24-hour safety line. Always included, always free for the host.

Safety and policies

Safety at the stay

Smoke and carbon monoxide where you cook and sleep, a working way out, lights on the path, and the 24-hour safety line if you feel unsafe.

Safety and policies

When a review is used as revenge

A score that appears after you filed damage or reported a broken rule can be hidden if the file shows it. Keep the conversation on Absolute Stays.

Safety and policies

Major disruptive events

A flood, a closed mountain road, a state decision that makes the stay impossible. The Cancellation policy names these. Absolute rebooks or refunds — you do not argue it in a chat.

Safety and policies

Plan ahead for weather

Caspian wind, mountain snow, a riverside flood, ice on the only path. Write the risk on the listing. Close nights you cannot reach.

Safety and policies

Carbon monoxide and combustion at the stay

A stove, a gas heater, a closed room in January. Working detectors where you burn fuel, and a window that opens. This is not optional décor. No grill indoors.

Safety and policies

Dry grass, stoves and fire around the plot

Azerbaijan’s late summer is dry. Stubble, a stove, a balcony grill. A barrel of water, a clear path out, and FHN if the hillside goes. No open fire the listing did not mention.

Make hosting easier

House rules that guests actually follow

Short rules, written before the booking, work. A long list after they arrive does not.

Safety and policies

Travel insurance and AbsoluteCover

AbsoluteCover is included on every live booking. It is a programme guarantee — not a travel-insurance policy and not a medical bill. Travel insurance is the guest’s own policy if they buy one.

Safety and policies

Offering a stay in a hard week

Absolute does not run a separate crisis charity brand. If we ask hosts to open nights for a named case, it will come from us — not from a stranger in a chat. Write info@abaz.az. Do not move a family off-platform.

Hosting rules where you live

You must have the legal right to offer the stay. Absolute is not a law firm. We help you check the building before you list — you remain responsible for permits, taxes and house rules that apply to you.

Safety and policies

Preparing the house — and the guests — for emergencies

Print the three Absolute sheets, fill the blanks, hang the guest pages where they say. Walk the stay the afternoon before they arrive. In a real emergency they call 112 — not the inbox.

Safety and policies

Guest identity verification

Name, address, government ID and more. In Azerbaijan, SIMA. Other guests, biometric verification. You see who is coming in the dashboard.

Safety and policies

If something is damaged

Walk the house the day they leave. Photograph. Ask the guest to pay. Then file AbsoluteCover.
