A two-bedroom timber house on Göygöl’s old German street — plane trees, shutters, a small front garden. The town was Helenendorf; the Germans were deported in 1941. The house is a family house that still stands, not a museum copy. Ganja is ten minutes. The lake named Göygöl is a further drive into the national park — Konul takes you if you add it.

Ten minutes from Ganja, a different town. Kitchen worked. We walked to the church. Added two glasses in the evening — small, honest.
Front rooms hear the street in the morning. Back bedroom is quiet. Parking is on the lane. Konul drove us toward the lake the next day.

Helenendorf left the plane trees and the timber houses. This one is ours. I will walk you to the Lutheran church if you ask; I will not invent a German grandmother. Two glasses at the table are from a neighbour, not a cellar tour.
