A two-bedroom house on a tea slope above Lankaran. Veranda, humid garden, kitchen, the rows starting beyond the fence. Rasul’s family still picks in season. Hirkan forest is a drive; the house itself is the south — citrus, tea, rain.
Two bedrooms, living-veranda, kitchen, one bath. Sleeps four. AC on the hot days. Mosquitoes after rain — nets are on the beds.

Woke in cloud with tea bushes under the veranda. Rasul walked us through the rows. This is a different Azerbaijan from the mountains in the north, and that is why we came south.
