Deliver a stay guests remember
A clean stay guests can trust
Guests book the kitchen they saw. The house must be finished the afternoon before they arrive — not after they knock.

What clean means here
Beds with the linen in the photographs. A bathroom without the last guest’s bottles. A kitchen that can cook the first night — hob wiped, a kettle that boils, a fridge you would put milk in. Floors you would walk barefoot. Surfaces without last night’s crumbs. Clean does not mean urban-hotel identical. It means honest and ready.
Say in the listing if the water is well water, if heating is a stove you light, if the washing machine is shared, if August pressure drops. A rural house that smells of wood smoke because you heat with wood is honest when the page says so. The same smell in a listing that promised “fresh rooms” is a file, not a review you talk away.
The rooms that decide the score
Guests mark cleanliness on the stay they had. Hair in the drain, a stained towel, a hob with yesterday’s oil, a bin you did not empty — those sentences write themselves. The bathroom and the kitchen decide more fives than a new sofa in the courtyard. Do the same rooms every time so you do not invent a new list at 14:30.
White or light linen shows dirt; that is useful. One towel and one pillow per guest, as photographed. If you promised shampoo or drinking water, they are on the shelf before 15:00, not in your car on the road from town.
Time: the afternoon before, not after they knock
Checkout is 11:00 and check-in is 15:00 unless the listing says otherwise. That is four hours, not a full laundry day. Keep a second set of linen. If you use a cleaner, they need enough hours before 15:00. A 14:00 turnaround on a same-day checkout is how complaints start — and how the next guest photographs a wet floor.
Block a night if you cannot wash, dry and reset in time. Peak season in Gabala and the north is when this fails. A calendar that is open is a promise that the house will be finished when they arrive.
Between guests
Take rubbish out. Restock toilet paper, soap and drinking water if you promised them. Check the things that fail in season: the pump, the heater in January, the cooler in August, ice on the path. Wipe switches, remotes and the kettle handle. Look at the garden and the parked car — damage you miss today is harder to file tomorrow.
Photograph the empty house once between stays. A before picture helps if a later AbsoluteCover damage file needs it. Do not AI-edit that frame. Walk the stay, then leave it closed until 15:00.
Smell, smoke and damp
A stay that smells of smoke, drain or damp when the listing did not say so is an AbsoluteCover problem for the guest — not a conversation you win after checkout. Fix the drain, air the rooms, replace the linen. If a guest smoked where the rules forbid it, photograph, ask them to pay for the deep clean, then file. Deep cleaning for stains and smoke is part of host damage protection.
Do not spray perfume over a wet problem and call it clean. The next guest will write the smell. Honesty on the page plus a house that matches it is the standard.
A list you can repeat
Same order every turnover: beds, bathroom, kitchen, floors, rubbish, stock, heat and water, path, photograph. Who does it — you, a neighbour, a paid cleaner — and who covers Friday if they fall ill, belongs in your own note before Novruz and before July. Welcoming guests and If something is damaged sit next to this page.
Clean is how strangers trust a courtyard in Sheki. The photographs promised a finished house. Finish it the afternoon before they knock.

A listing ages when the garden grew or the sofa changed. Update the page in the same week — not after the first complaint.
