Your reservation
Change or cancel a reservation
A 24-hour window on most home bookings. After that, the listing’s terms. Host cancellations are handled by Absolute, not left on you.

How to change the record
Use the reservation page or write through the contact form. We reply from info@abaz.az. Do not only message the host. A WhatsApp “ok cancel” does not change the file. The nights stay on the calendar until Absolute Stays records the change.
Date changes and cancellations are different. A date change is a new check of the calendar. A cancel is a refund question under the policy you already accepted. Both have to land in the reservation, not only in a private chat.
The first 24 hours
On eligible homestay and beach bookings you can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of booking, as long as check-in is still at least 48 hours away. That is the Absolute grace window. The free-cancellation line on Confirm and pay refers to this.
Experiences and some last-minute home bookings follow tighter rules. If the page said non-refundable, that line wins. If check-in is already inside 48 hours when you booked, the grace window may not apply. The Cancellation policy states the cut-off.
After the window
The listing’s terms apply: Flexible, Moderate or Firm — a percentage, a number of nights, or no refund. Cleaning and the guest programme fee follow the same refund share as the accommodation unless your confirmation says otherwise.
A change of mind after the grace window is not AbsoluteCover for guests. Cover is for a stay that cannot be delivered as listed. Read both pages once before you travel. Taxes and extras on that reservation follow the same policy.
Moving dates
If the new nights are open, we can often move you. You pay any price difference in AZN. If they are not open, you cancel under the listing terms and book again. The host does not have to invent a private swap.
Write the reservation the same day you know the dates must move. Peak weeks — Novruz, July in Gabala, New Year — fill first. A message three days before check-in is a listing-policy question, not a grace question.
Host cancels and major events
If the host cancels, or a Major Disruptive Event makes the stay impossible, you are not left to argue in a chat. Absolute rebooks you or refunds under the Cancellation policy and AbsoluteCover for guests.
Major events are rare large-scale problems at the stay location — not a delayed flight, not ordinary Caucasian snow, not a personal illness. If you think one applies, write us. We decide from the file.
Experiences are separate
An experience follows the experience cancel rules on the Cancellation policy, not the house grace window, unless the page says they travel together. A no-show without notice is usually not refunded.
If the host cannot run the slot, we rebook or refund that experience. Keep both the stay and the slot on Absolute Stays. Off-platform cash to “keep the night” can cancel the reservation and remove cover.
