Cleaning like you mean the fee
If guests pay a cleaning line, the house is finished before 15:00 — not after they knock. A cleaner needs hours, not a 14:00 squeeze.

The fee buys a finished house
A cleaning line is for the turnover you actually pay — supplies, laundry, a person. It is not a second nightly rate and it is not permission to tidy after they arrive. Guests see the fee at checkout next to the nights and the 15% programme fee. If the number is larger than a night, many will leave. If they pay it, they will score the bathroom harder.
Fold a small cost into the nightly floor when one night is the product. Keep a modest village-cleaner number when the work is real. Do not invent a fee after someone has compared prices.
Start with the linen
Strip the beds first so a load can run while you do the rooms. Spare sets matter on a same-day turn — thick towels that never dry are how 15:00 slips. The linen in the photographs is the linen on the bed. A stain you would not sleep on is an AbsoluteCover conversation if the last guest caused it, not a surprise for the next one.
Inspect laundry as it comes out. A hair in a “clean” towel is a review.
Rooms that fail reviews
Bathroom bottles from the last guest. A hob that still has last night. Floors you would not walk barefoot. Damp or drain smell the listing did not mention — that last one is an AbsoluteCover problem, not a candle. Hair in the drain. A fridge that still holds someone else’s dinner.
High-touch surfaces: remotes, switches, the kettle, the door handle at the gate. Open a window if the weather allows. Strong perfume to hide a smell usually becomes the smell.
Kitchen and bathroom
Dishes away, cooker clear, bin empty, no food left as a gift unless you wrote it. Toilet, sink, shower actually cleaned — not wiped around the edges. Paper and soap restocked. If you cook on gas, the note says how to light it without smoking the room.
A working extinguisher in sight, away from the hob. Ash from a stove in a metal bin, not in dry grass. That is cleaning and fire in the same walk.
Between guests
Rubbish off the plot. Restock what you promised. Winter: ice on the path, the pump, the heater. Summer: the mangal area if you allow one, water on the balcony if they grill. A checklist on the fridge is enough. You do not need a hotel cart.
Schedule a deeper clean when the calendar is quiet — under furniture, the filter, the things a two-hour turn never reaches. Peak weeks are the same list, not a shorter one.
A person and a backup
If someone else cleans, walk it with them once. Give them hours. Have a second name for the day the first cannot come. A missed clean is a host problem, not a guest surprise. Message Absolute only if the house cannot be ready — close the night rather than hope.

Check-in and checkout
Guests complete online check-in before they reach the door. Check-in is 15:00, checkout is 11:00, unless the listing says otherwise.
