Who filters for it

People who book a week in Gabala to work in the mornings, a Sheki courtyard with a laptop on the veranda, a Baku apartment between meetings. Families also tick wifi because children and maps and the next marshrutka all need it. If you only host Friday nights for a wedding party, you still owe the password you wrote.

“Workspace” without a usable connection is a listing problem. A dark dining table and a bar that dies at 14:00 will not hold a month. Read the longer-stay guide if you want those weeks — and write the wifi first.

Write the speed you have

State what you can measure, not a slogan. If you have fibre in a Baku block, say so. If the house is on a mobile router in a courtyard, say mobile data, and say if it holds a video call. If the village drops after lunch, write the hours it holds and the hours it does not.

Do not tick “high speed” because a neighbour ticked it. Do not write 100 Mbps because the box in the shop said so three years ago. A guest who cannot send a file will write that, and search will remember the review.

Name, desk, daylight

Name the network on the house note. Put the password where they can read it at night — not only in a message they will lose. Photograph the actual table: daylight, a chair that is not a dining bench, a wall socket. That photograph is more useful than the word “high speed”.

If the only usable signal is in the yard, say the work happens in the yard. If the bedroom is a dead zone, say so before they book a couple who both need a call at 09:00.

Gabala, Sheki, Baku

Mountain towns and old courtyards lose the line when the street is busy or the weather turns. That is not a secret in Azerbaijan — it is a sentence on the listing. A Baku apartment can still have a building that shares one weak line between six floors. Test it at the hour guests will work, not at midnight when the block is quiet.

If you bought a second router or a backup SIM so August weekends hold, write that you have a backup. Do not promise office fibre you do not have. Guests who work from these stays plan around honesty; they cancel around surprises.

If it fails during a stay

Tell the guest the same day and offer a hotspot if you have one. Walk them to a café only if that café is real and open at the hour they need. If you listed workspace and there is no usable connection, that is a listing problem — message Absolute with them.

Do not wait for checkout to mention it. Do not argue that “the village is like this” if the page said high speed. AbsoluteCover is for a stay that is seriously different from the listing — a dead line you advertised as working can become that conversation.

Keep the note true

When you change the network name, when the operator changes the tower, when you move the desk — edit the listing and the saved reply the same week. A stale password is how a five-star house collects a three-star wifi note.

Wifi is an amenity search already uses. Open nights, a true first photograph, and a total guest price that is not a surprise still matter. The connection is what lets a remote week book you instead of a Baku hotel. Write it as it is.
