How AbsoluteCover for hosts works

Always on the listing

Every live Absolute Stays listing includes AbsoluteCover for hosts. There is nothing extra to buy and no separate cover fee. The guest’s programme fee already funds the managed stay, including this protection. You host. We stand behind the reservation.

Limits are shown in USD. Claims we approve are paid in AZN. AbsoluteCover is not travel insurance and it is not a substitute for your own home, landlord or motor policy. Motor insurance required by law is not satisfied by AbsoluteCover. Talk to your insurer about how the two sit together.

Guest identity verification

We check details such as name, address, government ID and more before a guest arrives. Guests in Azerbaijan complete SIMA. Other guests complete biometric verification. You see who is coming in the dashboard. A verified badge is not a substitute for the person at the door matching the reservation.

Reservation screening

We review each reservation against signals that point to a disruptive party or a high risk of property damage. Last-minute bookings, listing type and stay length are among the things we look at. Bookings that fail that screen can be blocked before you ever see a confirmed night.

Screening reduces risk. It does not replace house rules, a published guest maximum, or your judgement if a group arrives as “friends of the guest”. Extra people who are not on the reservation are a message to Absolute — not an automatic extra bed.

$3M USD damage protection

If a guest damages your home or belongings and does not pay, host damage protection helps reimburse costs up to $3M USD. That includes the house and its contents, art and valuables, cars, boats and other watercraft you park or store at the stay, damage caused by a guest’s pet, and extra cleaning to remove stains and smoke.

If you have to cancel the next confirmed Absolute Stays bookings because of that same guest damage, you are compensated for the lost income on those Absolute nights. Damage protection is a programme guarantee, not a policy you hold. It applies to Absolute Stays reservations — not a cash booking at the door.

How to file damage

Walk the house the day they leave. Photograph. Ask the guest to pay first. If they do not, file with Absolute within 14 days of checkout or before the next guest arrives, whichever is first. We do not accept AI-generated or AI-edited evidence. Approved amounts are paid in AZN.

$1M USD liability, and experiences

Host liability insurance covers you in the rare event that a guest is hurt, or their belongings are damaged or stolen, during an Absolute Stays stay — up to $1M USD. People who help you host, such as co-hosts and cleaners, are included. Liability is insurance. Damage protection is not.

If a table, a craft hour or another experience at the stay causes damage, experiences liability insurance may apply — also $1M USD. Guest identity still applies to those slots. Full terms and exclusions are on /stays/cover/.

The 24-hour safety line

If you ever feel unsafe, you reach specially trained safety agents by phone, WhatsApp, email or chat, day or night. They can connect you to local emergency services in Azerbaijan. Hosts and guests use the same path. In an emergency, local services first — 112 — then us.

A missing kettle is a message. A lock that fails after dark, a gas smell, or a person at the door who is not on the reservation is the safety line and the reservation file. Keep that conversation on Absolute Stays so we can see it.
