How a booking is confirmed

Open nights, then a person we can name

Guests book dates you left open. If a night is closed, it will not sell. If a night is open, it can become a reservation the same day — so only open what you can host. There is no separate switch that means “anyone, instantly, no checks”.

A request you can ignore is not our model. An open night is an offer. When the guest pays and completes verification, that offer becomes a stay you honour.

Guest verification

Booking guests are identity-verified before the door. In Azerbaijan, SIMA. Other guests complete the biometric step we show. You see who is coming. The names on the reservation should be the people at the gate. Extra cousins at 23:00 are a message, not an automatic plus-one.

We do not ask anyone to send a passport photograph to a stranger on WhatsApp. If a “verification” message arrives off Absolute Stays, it is not us.

What “confirmed” means

The guest paid Absolute in AZN. The nights were open. Verification completed as the listing explains. House rules on the page were accepted. That is a reservation — not a hold, not a maybe, not a chat you can leave until tomorrow.

You receive the floor you set, plus listed cleaning and extras, after a completed stay. The guest paid the stay subtotal plus the 15% programme fee. AbsoluteCover sits on that file.

If you cannot host

Close the nights before they pay. A host cancel after confirmation is handled by Absolute for the guest — rebook or refund under AbsoluteCover and the Cancellation policy — and reviewed on your listing. A wedding, a better offer, or a cousin is not a reason we treat as weather.

Do not ask them to “just stay anyway” off the platform. Do not take cash at the gate for the same nights. That can cancel the reservation and remove cover for both sides.

After confirmation

Message on Absolute Stays. Share the code or the gate plan as the listing promised. If something on the house broke that morning, say so the same day — to the guest and to us. A confirmed stay that is not as listed is how we open a cover file.

Same-day bookings still need rooms finished before 15:00. If you cannot turn the house that fast, do not leave the night open.

Read the file

Each reservation shows dates, who is coming, what they paid, and what you will receive. If verification is still in progress, the listing already said so. When it completes, the stay is yours to host — not yours to renegotiate.
