How search works on Absolute Stays

Guests pick Homestays, Beach or Experiences, then a place, dates and who is coming. Houses that are closed, too small, or missing a required amenity do not appear. Honesty, photos, reviews and the total guest price do the rest.

What the guest picks first

They choose a product — Homestays, Beach or Experiences — then a place in Azerbaijan or the whole country, check-in and checkout, and who is coming: adults, children, infants, pets. A listing that sleeps four will not show for six. A house that bans pets will not show when they tick a dog.

Closed nights do not appear. A seven-night minimum hides you from a Friday-to-Sunday search. Same-day booking only helps if the rooms can be ready. The calendar you keep is the first ranking decision you make.

Total guest price, not your floor

Guests compare what they will pay: stay subtotal plus the 15% programme fee. Two houses with the same host floor can sort differently if one added a heavy cleaning line or a stack of extras. A high floor that still looks fair next to similar stays in the same village can sit well. A modest floor with a surprise total at checkout loses the click.

We do not hide the fee to make you look cheaper. We do not sell a night below your floor. Smart pricing may raise the guest nightly price on busy dates; that higher total is what search and checkout both show.

Honesty as quality

Search prefers listings that match the stay. Photographs Absolute shot of the rooms people sleep in. Amenities that exist — heating you can explain, wifi hours that are true, a kitchen that is a kitchen, parking that is parking. Reviews that do not start with “not as pictured”.

A lied-about sea view, a workspace that is a dark table, or a “sleeps eight” that is four beds and a sofa, trains the next guest to bounce and the next review to sink you. Quality here is accuracy in Azerbaijan, not a hotel vocabulary.

Location in the country

Guests search Gabala, Sheki, Baku, the Caspian, a village they can spell. The pin and the title have to agree. A house above the highway that writes “five minutes to the centre” when it is a forty-minute marshrutka will get the click and lose the stay.

We also mix the home page so one region does not own the screen. Paying extra to “boost” a closed calendar does nothing. Being in the right collection — Homestays versus Beach — matters more than a louder adjective.

What helps you be seen

Open nights on the dates people actually search. A true first photograph. Amenities that exist. Fast replies. Almost no host cancellations. Reviews that mention the house they got. A floor that sits in the set of similar Absolute stays, not against a Baku suite.

Reply the same day. A message that sits unanswered looks like an empty house. Instant booking is not a separate product here: if the night is open and they pass verification, they can pay. You still decide pets, children and the maximum on the listing before that click.

What we do not sell

There is no Superhost badge to filter, no paid pin at the top of Gabala, and no live popularity score you can game. We will not rank you up for a second URL. We will not rank you up for a WhatsApp price.

If guests cannot find you, check the obvious: nights closed, too few beds, a missing amenity they filter, a pin in the wrong district, a first photo that is a corridor. Then write to Absolute. Search is not a mystery novel — it is the listing you already published.
