Deliver a stay guests remember

Refreshing your listing

A listing ages when the garden grew or the sofa changed. Update the page in the same week — not after the first complaint.

A page that no longer matches the house

Guests book the rooms they see. If the Gabala courtyard lost its fig tree, if the Lankaran dacha sofa is now grey, if a neighbour’s wall closed the strip of sea you named in the title, the page is already wrong. A stale listing is how AbsoluteCover “not as listed” starts — not a debate you win in the inbox after checkout.

Refresh in the same week the house changed. Do not wait for August heat, Novruz guests, or the first winter booking to force the edit. A two-line change today is cheaper than a low score that describes a room you no longer have.

Photographs that still tell the truth

Reshoot rooms you rebuilt. Take down a hero image that still shows a pool you cover from October, a wood stove you removed, or a path light that no longer stands. Absolute photographs the stay; you keep those rooms in that state. A phone collage that contradicts the professional set confuses the next guest and weakens the file if something goes wrong.

Seasonal honesty belongs in the set you keep live. Winter in Quba and Şahdağ country needs a photograph of how the house actually heats. Summer on the Absheron shore needs shade and water as they are, not a spring afternoon from two years ago. If Absolute has not visited since the change, write through the contact page — we reply from info@abaz.az — and ask for a reshoot when the house has changed enough. Do not invent a second unofficial gallery.

Amenities, months and the title

Untick what you took away. A washing machine that now lives at your sister’s, wifi that drops after lunch in the village, a private bathroom that your parents use at 07:00 — each of those is a listing fact, not a surprise at the gate. Opening months matter: if you close the mountain house after the first snow, the calendar and the text must say so before someone books New Year.

Titles age as fast as views. “Sea view” and “garden pool” are promises. “Near the marshrutka” is useful. “Luxury villa” is not a refresh — it is a word the house may not carry. Name the place as a guest in Azerbaijan would: Sheki courtyard, Ismayilli orchard, Ganja apartment with a desk.

Old reviews on a new house

A review that praises a kitchen you demolished still sits on the page. Answer it with a fact — the kitchen is now the east room; the photographs were updated on this date — and change the listing so the next reader is not bargaining with a ghost. A low score that described last year’s steep path stays if the path is still steep; hiding that score does not flatten the stones.

If several guests mention the same miss, that is your refresh list: water pressure in August, the shared yard during Novruz visiting, the heater that needs a match. Fix the house or the sentence. Leaving both stale is how the next review writes itself.

What you send Absolute

When walls moved, a bathroom was added, or the garden is no longer the garden in the hero shot, ask us to reshoot. Send the reservation-free week we can visit and a short list of what changed. We will not publish a guest-shot composite that argues with the official set.

You still own the calendar, the amenity ticks and the house rules. A new photograph does not reopen nights you cannot host, and it does not replace a host who answers the next day. Refreshing the listing is maintenance — the same week, the same facts, the same rooms guests will walk into after dark.

A short rhythm that works

Walk the stay once a season: before Novruz, before the July rush, before the first frost. Check the first photograph, the title, heat and water, and any extra you no longer run. Close what you cannot deliver. Then leave the page alone until the house changes again.

Guests compare three houses in a minute. The one they trust is the one that still looks like Tuesday. That is the refresh.
