Updating your availability
Close nights you will be in the rooms, nights the cleaner cannot turn, and nights the road is closed. An open night you later cancel is the most expensive click.

Close nights you cannot host
The calendar is the product. An open night is a promise that the rooms will be ready and that you will not cancel for a better offer. Close the nights you will sleep in the house, the nights a cousin’s wedding already took the beds, and the nights the mountain road is closed.
Nights stay available from the settings you already chose — minimum stay, how far ahead people can book, a turnaround night if the cleaner cannot do 11:00 to 15:00. If those settings are blocking a four-night gap you actually want to sell, lower the minimum for that gap or close it honestly.
Close before someone pays
Family coming Friday — close Thursday night if you need the turnaround. A wedding in the village that fills your house — close it now, not after a reservation lands. Same-day booking only if you can finish the rooms before 15:00.
A guest who paid for an open night you then cancel is how we review the host. AbsoluteCover does not save a host who cancels for a better offer, for tiredness, or for a cash booking at the gate.
Turnaround and the road
If the cleaner cannot turn the house between 11:00 and 15:00, leave a closed night. That closed night is cheaper than a host cancellation and cheaper than a guest who walks into wet floors. Write the checkout time you actually run.
If the road up from the highway closes in snow, close those nights when you know — do not wait for the first guest to call from the switchback. A closed calendar in a closed valley is honest. An open calendar in a closed valley is a complaint.
Open when you mean it
Reopening a month you had blocked is fine. Opening nights you will cancel because you are tired is how the listing gets reviewed. If you only want weekends, close the weekdays. Do not accept a fourteen-night stay you will undo.
Extending how far ahead guests can book helps them find you for Novruz and August. Only open that window if you will keep those nights true. A year of open dates you later carve out one by one is worse than six honest months.
Your own stay, a second house
If you will be in the rooms, close them. If a second family cannot share the courtyard, do not leave the night open and “see”. Extra people are a message to Absolute, not a mattress on the floor after they paid for the listing.
Friends still book the same page. Blocking the calendar for a friend and taking cash is how AbsoluteCover falls off. Open the night, let them pay, or keep it closed.
What the guest search sees
Houses that are closed on the dates they picked do not appear. A listing that is too small, or that bans the dog they ticked, also disappears. Updating availability is how you stay in the searches you can actually honour.
There is no paid boost that sells a closed week. Price and photographs matter after the night is open. The calendar you keep is what search uses. The reservation record lists the nights you sold.
