How AbsoluteCover protects you
Every Absolute Stays booking includes AbsoluteCover for guests. If there is a serious issue with your home that your host cannot resolve, we are here to help.
We’ll help you get rebooked or give you a full or partial refund
Here’s where we can help:
- If your host cancels before check-in
- If there is a problem and you cannot get in touch with your host
- If the listing is significantly different than advertised, and your host cannot resolve the issue
Our team can help you find a similar place, considering location and amenities, based on availability at comparable pricing. If a similar place is not available or you would prefer not to rebook, we give you a full or partial refund, including programme fees.
How AbsoluteCover for guests works
AbsoluteCover for guests supports serious issues with your home booking, for example:
- Host cancels your reservation before check-in
- The heating is not working in winter
- The listing has fewer bedrooms than listed
- It is a different type of home — a private room instead of an entire home
- A major advertised amenity, such as a pool or kitchen, is missing
AbsoluteCover for guests does not include more minor inconveniences, like a broken toaster.
Resolving issues during your stay
Your host is the first person to contact. Message them directly. If an issue comes up during your stay:
Contact your host
Notify your host within 72 hours of discovery, describing the problem and seeking a resolution.

If your host is unresponsive or unable to resolve the issue, contact Absolute immediately — WhatsApp, email or phone.
AbsoluteCover support
If the issue is covered and you wish to leave, we help you find comparable accommodation based on availability and pricing. If a similar place is unavailable or you prefer not to rebook, you receive a full or partial refund.
24-hour safety line
Need to reach us? Contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp or chat.
If you ever feel unsafe, you get priority access to specially trained safety agents who will help with the safety issue or connect you to local emergency authorities in Azerbaijan, day or night.
AbsoluteCover for guests is not an insurance policy. It does not cover travel issues (for example a storm delay, or luggage damaged by a carrier).
Cancellation policy
Cancellations and refunds for Absolute Stays homes follow the listing’s cancellation terms, plus Absolute’s 24-hour booking grace period. Rare large-scale events may be covered separately under our Major Disruptive Events rules.
24-hour free cancellation
Full refund within 24 hours of booking if check-in is still at least 48 hours away. After that, the listing policy applies.
Listing policies
Flexible, Moderate, or Firm terms are shown on the stay and before you pay. Refund share usually includes cleaning and Absolute service fees for the cancelled portion.
Major disruptive events
Rare large-scale events at the stay location (mandatory restrictions, unforeseeable disaster, prolonged utility failure) may allow cancel with refund or credit even when the listing policy would not. Personal travel issues and ordinary seasonal weather are not covered.
Hosts & AbsoluteCover
Hosts should cancel only when they cannot honour the stay. AbsoluteCover is separate help for serious home issues — not travel insurance.
