A simple guest fee — and what you still receive

Guests pay a 15% programme fee on the stay. You receive the nightly minimum you set.

The rule in one line

Absolute Stays does not take a host commission from your agreed nightly minimum. The guest pays the stay they booked plus a programme fee — currently 15% of that stay subtotal, unless the listing page shows a different fee. After a completed stay, the scheduled payout sends you the host amounts we already agreed, in AZN.

How we calculate what the guest pays

Stay subtotal = (guest nightly price × nights) + cleaning you listed + extras they ticked on that reservation (a transfer, a table, a mid-stay clean).

Guest programme fee = 15% × stay subtotal.

Guest pays = stay subtotal + programme fee. An experience booked on its own uses the same 15% on that experience subtotal unless the page says otherwise. Gift cards apply before they confirm.

The guest nightly price is never below your floor. Smart pricing may raise it on busy dates. The fee is always taken on the number they actually pay for the stay — not on a hidden second price.

How we calculate what you receive

Your payout for the nights = your agreed nightly minimum × nights. If we confirmed a higher host price in writing for those dates, that written host price is what we pay.

Cleaning and extras you listed are paid to you as shown on the reservation. The 15% is Absolute’s programme fee. It is added for the guest. It is not subtracted from your floor.

Smart pricing

You set a floor. We may show the guest a higher nightly price when demand is high. We will not publish a guest night below that floor. A higher guest price does not automatically raise your payout — you still receive the floor unless we wrote a different host amount.

The same split appears on the reservation: guest price and fee on one side, agreed host amounts on the other.

Worked example — three nights

Floor you set: 80 AZN a night. Cleaning listed: 40 AZN. No extras. Guest nights stay at the floor.

  • Stay subtotal: 80 × 3 + 40 = 280 AZN
  • Programme fee (15%): 42 AZN
  • Guest pays: 322 AZN
  • You receive after the stay: 240 AZN for the nights + 40 AZN cleaning = 280 AZN

If smart pricing lists the guest night at 92 AZN, the guest subtotal becomes 316 AZN, the fee 47.40 AZN, the guest pays 363.40 AZN — and you still receive 280 AZN unless we confirmed a higher host price.

Taxes

Prices on Absolute Stays are in AZN. Absolute collects the guest payment and remits applicable taxes where the law requires us to. You remain responsible for tax on your own hosting income. Keep the reservation record we send you. This page is not a tax opinion — a local accountant should read your own numbers.

How you follow the money

Hosts join with a written floor. Checkout shows the guest the breakdown above. After a completed stay, the payout lists the same nights, extras and AZN. Keep the reservation record we send you — that record is the ledger for each stay.

Questions we already answer

Does the 15% come out of my payout? No. It is added for the guest.

Does the fee apply to cleaning? Yes — the stay subtotal includes cleaning and extras on that reservation, unless the page says otherwise.

When am I paid? After a completed stay, not when someone clicks Book.

What if I take cash at the door? The reservation can be cancelled and AbsoluteCover does not apply.

Does a creator take from my payout? No. How creators are paid is a separate programme — read the Absolute Creators terms.
